I'll do this before the night is over tonight since I know I'll be
exhausted.
Today began with breakfast as a group (after
oversleeping by an hour), then a knitting class. The group all wanted to
learn a new technique, so I agreed to come back and teach for about a half hour
this afternoon. We broke for lunch a little early so several of us could
attend the debarkation seminar to find out about the procedures for leaving
tomorrow. I can't believe tomorrow is almost here already.
Afterward, Alan and I went down to the casino to spend the rest of my
chips. Of course we lost them. But that's ok.
At
1:45, Toni and I went to knitting. I gave a quick demo in Philosopher's
Fair Isle, made sure everyone understood, then Toni and I left to go play
Bingo. I'd been wanting to all week and today was the big jackpot
day. And guess what! I won something! Four hundred
smackers! I couldn't believe it. Four people won, and I was one of
them. YAY me!!
We were starving afterward and Alan had
been on his own for the afternoon, so we stopped in to the buffet for some quick
finger sandwiches and yet more desserts. Oh me, oh my. I do NOT want
to get on a scale after this trip. Diet for a month first, THEN
look.
We ran into Alan near the elevators, so I told him I'd
won some money. He was pretty impressed, actually. We all had to run
to our rooms to get dressed for our group pictures, but not without stopping at
the excursion desk first to file a complaint about yesterday. I'll wait to
hear back from them later tonight.
We got dressed and had our photos
taken, then went to Deck 12 (the Observatory/Galaxy of the Stars) for our group
cocktail party. It's been a rougher day at sea than before, so I've been
feeling a little ookie. Alan and I left a little early so I could do my
journals and stare out a window at the horizon for a little while before dinner.
Tonight's
dinner is at Maxim again (the steakhouse). After the other night, I'm
kinda surprised they want to let us back in! We had so much fun. I
can hardly wait for tonight. Life sure is good here. I hate to
leave, but I'm also ready to get home I think.
No pictures
today.
